Avocado Ink

Saved cleaned Avocado shells and halved pits in the freezer.

When ready to make ink, dumped shells and pits into pot and simmered with distilled water and Washing Soda for 20 minutes.

Ratio was 2 Avocados : 1 cup Water : 1 tsp Washing Soda.

Poured into glass jar, covered, and let sit overnight to steep.

Strained out shells and pit halves.

Filtered using coffee filter.

This ink is a gorgeous deep maroon color.

Bottled Avocado Water-Based Ink in 60ml dropper bottle with 10 drops liquid gum Arabic (distilled water, powdered gum, honey and glycerin), preservative and 2 drops each of wintergreen and clove essential oil.
