From The Desert
Inspired by a journey to Death Valley, these paintings feature life in the wintry desert. Barren and enormous hills of rock. Dried sagebrush, cracked mud, salt flats, pink, red-oxide, and brown brown brown. The hillsides were sparse and beautiful. Although Death Valley in the spring and summer months host many native creatures and vegetation, and even super-blooms, in winter flora and fauna are vastly limited. Many crows. Joshua Trees. A pigeon or two. It is an incredible and quiet land, remote and pensive.
